The FIA has confirmed the third edition of the FIA Motorsport Games in Valencia, Spain, this year will take place on 23 – 27 October 2024, will feature an expanded Esports programme. The two separate gaming titles at the event have two gold medals up for grabs.

Once again, GT Esports drivers will have the chance to pursue victory in the Assetto Corsa Competizione title. Additionally, a distinct competition will take place, featuring racers in a virtual rendition of FIA Formula 4 on iRacing. The GT Esports category will emphasize slightly extended races, incorporating a compulsory pit stop for added strategic elements. Meanwhile, the Esports FIA F4 category will showcase shorter sprint races, promising a more dynamic and action-packed experience.
Eligibility criteria dictate that all participants in the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games must be a minimum of 16 years old and hold a valid ITD1 license from their respective ASN.
The Esports competitions will take place at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia. Featuring a stage equipped with 24 simulators. These simulators will offer all drivers consistent, top-tier hardware from leading industry manufacturers. Anticipated to have over 100 drivers who will be representing their respective countries ASN (FIA National Sporting Authority). Esports enthusiasts anticipate that the Games will witness the fiercest competition this year in the Esports events.

This year AK Esports will oversee the Esports competitions, maintaining a structure akin to that of 2022. The format comprises General Qualifying, Quarter Finals, Last Chance, Semi-Finals, and the gold medal Final.
This year, the FIA Motorsport Games has reduced the entry fee for drivers to €800 each, simplifying the process of participating in both categories.
Assetto Corsa Competizione will be used for the GT competition for the second consecutive edition of the Games.
“We are delighted to welcome a second Esports discipline to the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games,” said FIA Esports Commission President Niroshan Pereira.
“The Esports GT Category with Assetto Corsa Competizione proved to be hugely popular in Marseille, and we have no doubt that the Esports F4 Category with iRacing will be a similar success.
“This addition to the programme will offer ASNs and their selected Esports representatives even more opportunities to shine and compete for medals.
“With the reduced entry fee lowering the barrier to competition, we are hopeful of attracting more than 100 entries across the two Esports categories as the FIA Motorsport Games continues to showcase the skills of the stars of both the present and the future.”
