A year after the launch of Alan Wake 2, Remedy Entertainment has shared the latest updates from its Capital Markets Day.

During this event, CEO Tero Virtala and the management team provided an overview of the company’s strategy and its primary growth drivers, including detailed presentations on financials and production aspects.

In light of this event, Remedy Entertainment declared that their supernatural thriller, Alan Wake 2, achieved sales of 1.8 million units worldwide, exceeding the earlier figure of 1.3 million units sold as of early February 2024.

If you are interested to see what Remedy has planned you can watch the full presentation here.

Alan Wake 2

These numbers a whole year later are probably not great in terms of sales as the apparent development and marketing budget reportedly was €70 million, but we have seen supernatural thriller games are a niche market and sales generally are lower but pick up in later years as we have seen with Control.

If you haven’t played Alan Wake 2 give it a go, it is available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
