Capcom is preparing to release Dragon’s Dogma 2 next month, the highly anticipated sequel to the cult classic RPG. Capcom has big plans for the Resident Evil franchise with a new report claiming that there are at least five games in development at the company. RE 4 remake with a great launch, however, this was one of many remakes from the series including RE2 and 3. The Resident Evil franchise has seen great support from Capcom over the past 10 years, including releases such as RE 7: Biohazard and RE Village.

Well, according to reliable leaker AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem, who has a decent track record of accurate leaks from Capcom and Konami, has stated that there are at least five Resident Evil games currently in development at Capcom. The games include Resident Evil 9. Dusk Golem later adds that one of these projects could be released in late 2026 or early 2027, there is no specific mention of which game will be released though.

It’s also plausible to predict a reinvention of the initial RE might be under consideration. Furthermore, a third installment of the Revelations spin-off series, which typically sheds light on alternate characters and narratives from the franchise, could also be a possibility.
