The Joburg Games Fest is a community-driven event for game makers and all those who want more from the industry. It celebrates making games, creating art, collaboration, and the growing game development community in Johannesburg.

The Joburg Games Fest allows everyone to learn, share, build, and have fun with like-minded people, so be sure to get your FREE Tickets below. Run in partnership with the Goethe-Institut Johannesburg and major studios in the city, including Nyamakop, 24 Bit Games, ITTYNK, and Two Name Games.

The programme will include a series of talks and workshops from local and international industry professionals. These speakers represent the growing industry and will tackle conversations about the business, art, and creation of games. Workshops will provide space for young entrepreneurs and those seeking to enhance their skills and creativity.

The festival will also feature a curated arcade, showcasing some of the best games made in the country and city alike.

In curating the workshops, talks, and games, we have ensured that voices are given to different areas of our community. We have speakers from education, industry, government, and international entrepreneurs.

Created by the community, the Joburg Games Fest will be the place to be for makers and players.
