abxylute One Review – Streaming and Cloud gaming at its best

abxylute one review

I’ve had the abxylute One in my hands for the past two weeks, and I’ve got to say, it’s been a really good experience. The build quality feels solid and premium, the touchscreen responds quickly without any noticeable delay, and the gameplay runs smooth with impressively low latency. It’s honestly surprised me how polished it feels for such a compact handheld.

Unlike the handhelds we’ve seen from Asus, MSI, and Lenovo, this device is technically considered a cloud gaming handheld. That means the internal hardware isn’t designed to blow you away or compete with high-powered gaming PCs, but that’s really not the point here. As long as you’ve got a stable, fast internet connection, the performance holds up impressively well, giving you one of the smoothest and most reliable streaming experiences available on a portable device.

The abxylute One comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. There’s a MicroSD slot if you want to add more space, but unless you’re loading hundreds of ROMs—which the device doesn’t really handle well—you probably won’t need it. It’s running on a MediaTek MT8365 2.0GHz 4-core processor, which isn’t a powerhouse, so don’t expect blazing speeds for everything. That said, for casual gaming, streaming, and just playing around the house, it handles everything pretty smoothly.

So, who is the abxylute One aimed at?

First off, this handheld is a great option for any PC or console gamer who wants a convenient way to play their games around the house without being tied to one spot. You can connect it to your PC or console and use remote play to stream your library directly to the device, which works really well, as I stated before.

I spent hours using Steam Link with my PC to enjoy the new season of Marvel Rivals and a bit of Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel from the comfort of my bed, instead of being stuck at my gaming setup. For console players – for those who have access to Xbox Cloud Gaming, currently unavailable here in South Africa, but you could stream any of the Xbox games from there or switch on our console and remote stream it no problem.

For the PlayStation gamers, you just fire up PS Remote Play and jump into any of your games installed on your PS5 or PS4, no matter the generation – combine that with Android games like PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile, which play natively right on the device – you can play with ease on the abxylute one.

Final Verdict on the abxylute one handheld

The Abxylute One isn’t meant to replace a console or compete with high-end handhelds. It’s positioned as a WiFi-dependent streaming device, best suited for remote play with Android mobile games also in mind. It won’t run AAA games locally or handle demanding emulation, but it delivers where it matters: comfortable design, strong battery life, and a sharp, responsive screen.

For PS5, Xbox, or gaming PC owners looking for a dedicated second screen for casual sessions or gaming on the go—without draining their phone—this is a practical and fairly priced option that lowers the barrier to accessible play, and we love it when everyone has the chance to play games.
