Qiddiya City revealed plans for the world’s first comprehensive gaming and esports district.

This pioneering project is set to position Saudi Arabia as a global hub for the flourishing gaming and esports industry. Situated in the heart of Qiddiya City, this vibrant district is poised to become a major draw, featuring four state-of-the-art esports venues.

The venues are designed to host major global events and expect to attract up to 10 million visitors annually.

The expansion is part of a larger effort to turn Qiddiya City into a leading hub for entertainment, sports, and culture, leveraging the universal allure of gaming. The gaming and esports precinct is ambitiously designed, showcasing four specialized esports arenas.

These venues will host a continuous lineup of major esports events, boasting a collective seating capacity of 73,000, providing an unmatched experience for esports aficionados.

As per the Qiddiya Investment Company’s Board of Directors, one of the arenas will house the world’s largest indoor LED screen within an esports arena, accommodating 5,300 seats, ranking it among the top three largest esports venues worldwide.

Not only will the precinct host elite esports competitions but it will also establish a permanent hub for up to 25 clubs.

These facilities are purpose-built for residence, training, and competition, nurturing a lively esports community.

Furthermore, Qiddiya City will attract key industry players, housing regional headquarters for more than 30 leading video game companies.

Spanning a whopping 500,000 square meters, the Gaming & Esports District will blend gaming areas with 100,000 square meters of retail, dining, and entertainment choices.

The precinct is envisioned as a sanctuary for gamers, featuring gaming-themed accommodations and hotels, establishing a distinctive setting where gamers can reside, work, and indulge in gaming.

This initiative stands as a pivotal component of the National Gaming and Esports Strategy, aspiring to position Saudi Arabia, home to a significant number of gaming enthusiasts, as the global hub for gaming and esports by 2030.

Qiddiya City pledges incomparable offerings in entertainment, sports, and culture, with additional attractions slated to be disclosed soon.
