On November 23, hunters, angels, demons, and die-hard Supernatural fans from far and wide gathered at the Bud Rock Cafe in Kempton to celebrate what would become a legendary first—The First Annual Supernatural Convention.

From the moment the gates opened, the atmosphere was electric. Fans dressed as their favorite characters, from Castiel to Dean, poured into the venue, ready to immerse themselves in a world of lore, mystery, and fandom. It wasn’t just an event—it was a family reunion for Supernatural enthusiasts.

This is exactly why the convention was created—for fans like us! The dedication and passion were palpable, with moments like Andrea, a true legend, packing her boyfriend into the car and driving all the way from the Free State to be part of the event. Moments like these reminded us all why the Supernatural fandom is more than just a community—it’s family.

🔥 Roadhouse-Style Bar

Step into a space reminiscent of the iconic Roadhouse from the series. Fans swapped theories, shared their favorite show moments, and bonded over specially curated drinks like Slayer Bombs. It wasn’t just a bar—it was a sanctuary for stories.

🛍️ Vendor Market

The vendor area buzzed with activity as fans explored exclusive Supernatural-inspired merchandise. From handcrafted items to collectibles, the market featured one-of-a-kind finds, perfect for every type of fan.

🎤 Convention Panels

  • Paranormal Investigations with Matt & Nigel
    The paranormal experts took fans behind the veil of ghost hunting in South Africa. With real-life stories, tips, and even a few chilling encounters, their panel left audiences both intrigued and inspired. Fans peppered them with questions about techniques, their most memorable investigations, and how ghost lore overlaps with Supernatural mythology.
  • Supernatural Lore & Fan Theories
    Another highlight was diving into the show’s greatest mysteries and fan theories. From Chuck’s grand plan to Dean’s most emotional moments, the discussions brought out the passionate debate and camaraderie that define this fandom.

🕹️ LARP & Role-Playing Adventures

Fans embraced their inner hunter and took part in a fully immersive LARP experience, solving mysteries and tackling monsters in true Supernatural fashion. The adventure continued with an epic one-shot DND campaign, where Dungeon Masters led the charge into a custom Supernatural-inspired storyline.

The night ended in a spectacular spectacle flare with a Bonfire lit by Nigel setup as a Hunter’s Funeral to commemorate the fallen Hunters but also signify a teary eyed successful FIRST Annual Supernatural Convention!
