Red Barrels has revealed that sales of The Outlast Trials with 1.5 million copies sold since the early access launch earlier this year on PC. The landmark number was made official with the announcement of the festive update, with the introduction of various Christmas-themed content into the game.
“Launched in Early Access on PC in May 2023, The Outlast Trials has been a phenomenal success, with more than 1.5 million copies sold worldwide.”

The final version of the game is set to arrive on 5 March 2024 and will be available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. Those who pre-order or purchase the game in advance will receive the Grizzly Hazmat Outfit.

The success of The Outlast Trials is a confirmation of how multiplayer horror games are going through an excellent period of late, considering other successes of the genre such as Lethal Company, Dead by Daylight, and Phasmophobia, to name a few.
