Battlefield 6 Review – All-Out Warfare Unleashed

The Battlefield Experience

I had been waiting what feels like forever for Battlefield 6, and after such a fun experience in the Beta, I had high hopes for more epic battles in Conquest. Now, to make things clear, I love campaigns to be cohesive; however, with Battlefield 6, the multiplayer is where I focused most of my time and energy. While the Battlefield 6 campaign offers some engaging moments and showcases impressive level design, it falls short in delivering a cohesive narrative.

With a play time of about 5 hours, the campaign serves as a supplementary addition rather than the main attraction, as has been the case with most Battlefield titles in the past. Some may argue that Battlefield games should have a more comprehensive story, and to some extent, the Campaign did pull up some epic narratives that had you thinking about what NATO and Pax Armata will do next to counter one another. The current geopolitical climate, if you are in the know, the campaign is closer to reality than fiction.

Battlefield 6 Review

Battlefield 6’s story takes you all over the world, from the mountains of Georgia to the streets of Brooklyn, the deserts of Egypt, and the cliffs of Gibraltar, as NATO scrambles to hold its ground against the ruthless expansion of Pax Armata. You play as members of the elite Dagger 1-3 squad—Gunnery Sergeant Dylan Murphy, Staff Sergeant Simone ‘Gecko’ Espina, and CIA operative Lucas Hemlock—each bringing their own set of skills to the fight.

From intense firefights to stealthy takedowns and high-speed vehicle chases, you’re constantly thrown into chaotic situations that test your teamwork and strategy. While the campaign moves fast and packs in plenty of action, it’s really more about the thrill of the battles than a deep dive into the characters’ lives or motivations. Still, hopping between these global hotspots and taking part in high-stakes missions makes for a pretty exciting ride, and the perfect kind of tutorial into understanding the weapons and vehicles you will see in the Multiplayer.

I would suggest you start the campaign and work your way into it, as you really want to have the full Battlefield experience -A brief yet explosive campaign that proves Battlefield still reigns supreme when it comes to large-scale, high-intensity warfare.

A Portal Into The Battlefield

The all-new Portal builder tool and community experience, I must say, is amazing. The process to create your own session is a blast, and also a great way to make the experience even more memorable with friends. This massive sandbox lets you mess with nearly every aspect of the game, from map layouts and game rules to NPC behavior and custom objectives.

It’s wild how much control you get here, and it really shows how far DICE and Ripple Effect have gone to hand the tools over to the community. Portal gives you the power to go completely over the top. Want to limit classes? Go ahead. What’s even cooler is that the community can upvote and share creations, and the best ones can actually become official Battlefield modes—massive dub from the developers for adding this feature to an already stacked Battlefield experience.

Portal is a playground for players who want to break the rules, experiment, and craft something truly unique. If you’ve ever wanted to play Battlefield your way, this is where you start.

Now let’s get to the Multiplayer. One thing I felt while playing – It feels like the DICE team spent love and care on environment design, destructibility, and map flow, all of it felt smooth, the destruction of surrounding buildings really gave you this immersive experience no other shooter can.

The combination of visuals from dust, rubble, crumbling walls, meaningful terrain features, and modes that force you to adapt gives you a multiplayer that’s not just fun, but feels alive. If you have a group of friends to coordinate with or, in my case, I was galavanting wherever there was gunfire, there’s a lot here to explore, and all of this will keep matches exciting.

Battlefield 6

If you love map and vehicle variety, then you will have it — from sprawling open lands where I used tanks to take down helicopters, to cramped city fights — Battlefield 6 delivers a solid base. The maps show promise, especially with Mirak Valley and Firestorm really showcasing the vast maps. Some maps had slightly better balance; it’d be close to perfect — some were just a shit show, but there is something for everyone – that is what Battlefield fans have been waiting for.

Overall, I had a blast with Battlefield 6, with the Battle Royale mode coming soon…the Battlefield franchise could finally be back to where it was a household name.

See you on the battlefield, soldier.

The Review

Battlefield 6

9 Score

Even the brief yet explosive campaign proves Battlefield still reigns supreme when it comes to large-scale, high-intensity warfare. When it’s firing on all cylinders, Battlefield 6 is easily one of the best shooter games of 2025.
