Early access to the Battlefield 6 beta is already generating impressive numbers on PC.
The Battlefield 6 beta has already surpassed 340,000 concurrent users on Steam – DICE has noted they are working to increase server capacity as demand and access grow, ahead of full open launch this weekend.
Battlefield 6 – Maps + Early Access
With early access starting August 7th for eligible users, the beta will take place across two different sessions: the first will run from August 9th to 10th, the second from August 14th to 17th.
Available for free to download from Steam, PlayStation Store and Xbox Store, the “largest beta ever” for the Battlefield series aims to engage a huge audience and lay the groundwork for the launch of the full game, set for 10 October.
Three maps will initially be available in the beta: Siege of Cairo, Liberation Peak, and Iberian Offensive. However, during the second weekend, an additional scenario, Empire State, will debut.
EA said it is aiming for 100 million players with Battlefield 6, more than three times Battlefield 1’s reported peak of around 30 million players.
Here are the official Battlefield 6 Beta dates:
- August 7 – 8 early access beta
- August 9 – 10 open beta
- August 14 – 17 open beta
The final beta session, therefore, appears to be longer, effectively starting on Thursday and continuing through Sunday during the mid-month weekend, allowing a greater number of people to participate in the beta.
If you have an early access code, see you in the battlefield, soldier!
