The night that made all my geek dreams come true! I had the incredible honour of hosting the very first Nu Metro Fan Screening for Deadpool & Wolverine. The #DPWFanScreening brought together wonderfully wholesome super fans, sponsors, and cosplayers for an unforgettable evening.
This event has been a dream of mine for the longest time. I’ve always wanted to share my passion and love for movies by surrounding myself with people who love them as much as I do. It was a dream to bring together the actual super fans and original comic book collectors to experience these fandom movies together. I also wanted to highlight the cosplayers who spend months crafting their cosplays of the characters they love so much. My dream extended to connecting with the best sponsors to be a part of this legacy we are building.
I want to wholeheartedly thank everyone on the Nu Metro team who saw my vision and believes in what this could be. A special shoutout to Beverly and Andries for going above and beyond to make the launch of these exclusive Fan Screenings a truly one-of-a-kind experience and the first of its kind in South Africa. This night was epic thanks to their efforts. Additionally, thanks to Bo and Sunaina on socials, Max, and the Nu Metro Hyde Park staff who were so welcoming. I am unbelievably honoured and humbled.
