The Prince of Persia series has always dazzled with its smooth movement, thrilling acrobatics, and the exciting rhythm of navigating through its world. Well, in the Rogue Prince of Persia, it is no different, crafted by the talented team at Evil Empire—you may also know them for the amazing work they did on Dead Cells! This game takes that signature style and dives headfirst into the roguelite genre. The outcome is an experience that combines familiarity with fresh excitement, even if it has a few minor hiccups along the way!

Combat With Style

Combat is fast-paced and visually striking, yet it packs a punch. Each weapon type promotes a unique playstyle: light blades allow for quick movement and agility, while heavier weapons deliver powerful strikes at the cost of speed. Additionally, there are various abilities and tools that bring even more diversity to your gameplay. Like in true roguelite fashion, death is seamlessly woven into the gameplay experience. Each time you meet your end, you’re transported back to your camp, “The Oasis”, where the opportunity to unlock new weapons, upgrades, and abilities awaits.

This captivating “just one more run” approach is incredibly addictive, and while some unfortunate attempts may test your patience, the well-crafted progression system is designed to keep you engaged for countless hours.

Something is captivating about watching the Prince dash along walls or leap across platforms; it’s a sight that never ceases to impress.
